BAM- the mum shows up BAM-she asks for the kid back BAM-the kid goes and the BAM-its about a billion years in the future and yuzuyu and kippei have grown apart. it was dissapointing. but maybe if i read over it again i'll think it's better. but that was my orgional impression. ---------------------------------------------------- Username: Awsea User Rating: 10 User Review: Kippei is a true example of how a man should be.. I swear Yuzyu just makes you want to pick her up, hug her and tell her everything will be okay especially in the final chapters. However I do wish that ending had been extended somewhat there are a few too many lose ends for my taste although I suspect the author was going for the kind where you can put your own feelings on it rather than being forced into a given conclusion. Personally I maintain Kippei was talking to Kokoro when he got that letter. As for the person who said it should be an OAV there is a fansubbed anime series of this running to 26 episodes with several pretty active torrents going. A nice ending to an amazing story ^.^ This has to be one of my all time favourites. It was nice to see how Yuzu ended up (and how hooootttt she was =P)but I really wanted the ending to be about Kippei and Kokoro (i was kinda hoping they would have gotten a child back a few chapters ^_^, o wells) Even if yhu like action, gore, etc., read this manga. I thought the art style, and the story was horrible. When I got into episode 2, I noticed the art progressed, and started to look great, also, the story was progressing. This is a really unique story, with some great unqiue art style too top it off. I recommend this to any manga fan. P.s. This manga is jawdroppingly cute. And a good storyline to boot! I loved how it followed its characters through their development. Kippei from playboy to parent, and all sorts of family lessons/situations. While children in manga/anime are frequently potrayed as tiny adults with the emotions/knowledge of someone much older, Yuzuyu was very in the character of a 5 year old. Im really happy with the ending. While I would have loved to see more of future Yuzuyu and her oniisan, Im reassured that they grew up/turned out well. Kippei and Kokoro HAD to have gotten married and had kids of their own. Kippei is too good a parent-figure to not!! And Yuzuyu looked happy. And I guess thats enough for me. Overall, it was a wonderful manga with warm and fuzzy feelings. :-D with really beautiful art too! ---------------------------------------------------- Username: supajaji User Rating: 6 User Review: It was touching, I suppose, but I cannot help but feel like this whole *soap* of a comic needed to move out into the deep end. Characters seemed a bit shallow and one-dimensional, the plot seemed to drag for me, and Kippei & Kokoros relationship needed to be delved into a bit more (lets face it, he treated her pretty poorly toward the end-- once she lived at his house, his relationship did not seem that different from his relationship with his brother).
