User Review: Art...average, story...Something about a legend of the four gods. Sounds interesting...but not in the first pages...I starts with introduction of a girl and his family...mom dying and dad a writer that seems to care more about a certain book than his wife...the end of the first chapter is unexpected...I would recommend some other mangas...but this one is fine...I might read some more later...hehehe

User Review: YAY!!! THEY ACTUALLY ADDED IT!!! YAY!! This is like fushigi yugi : the mysterious play... except now they are going back to the genbu era.... when Genbu first found their priestess... actually, when the Universe of the Four Gods book was first created in fedual Japan. More HOT guys from our beloved YUU WATASE!! YAY!!!

ok basically its about this girl who lost her mother... is rejected by the man she loved, and gets a harsh talk to with her dad... in the middle of their conversation she gets sucked into the book he was writing or w/e and is pulled into the Universe of the Four Gods, to become the legendary Priestess of Genbu... and she has to gather the 7 celestial warriors of Genbu to save their country and what not =]

but if you've read Fushigi Yuugi, you'll already know what to expect. Lovely artwork too. One reason to read. Perhaps Watase-san will take a directional plot turn?

User Review: Okay, the story starts out with a teenage girl (Takiko) with a few problems. First her mother is sick and going to die soon (says their doctor). Second her crush doesn't return her feelings (he is married with a kid already). And last, her father just returned from "gathering data" for antoher one of his books. She somehow figures out a way to grit her teeth and go with it, but then her mother passes away. All at oncer her life is torn to shreds as she finally loses control and screams at her dad. She grabs the book her father has been working on and attempts to rip it. Instantly she is sucked into "The Universe of the Four Gods."

User Review: This is something that I think any fan will enjoy. I know I, myself, was extremely stoked when I learned that there was a spin off series. Fans of FY re-joice, the story continues. People who've read FY and people who haven't alike will like this. I definately think it's a good read.

User Review: If you have read the previous fushigi yuugi series, you will instantly fall in love with these series.
This shoju manga has same basic story line of a mysterious book that sucks in a girl into a Different world where the girl is called as Priestess and she is destined to find her celestrial warriors to call upon the one of four gods of that world, Genbu, to save the country.
Some action, Great building up romance, and really cool characters....
You will find the storyline very addictive and you will crave for more. =D

User Review: This first chapter was a little bit confusing, but probably becuae the author is trying to be a bit mysterious in her depiction of this, the origin story for Fushigi Yuugi. I still really liked it, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the story :)

User Review: I have been a Fushigi Yuugi fan since its release. Even though this story is similar to suzaku seishi but it has a few interesting plot twists. The main character, Takiko initially goes into the other world by accident, but later she assumes the responsibilties as a priestess for the people that she cares about.
